The Cleland Multipurpose Athletic Facility at Fort Bragg, North Carolina features a state of the art sound system in the ice skating rink.  This system was design-engineered and built by Quality Sound & Video.  There are twenty five Crown PS series amplifiers used in the system.  The twin JBL speaker clusters feature short and medium throw horns with 2" drivers, 15" 600 watt mid bass drivers in JBL cabinets and eight 18" JBL subwoofer cabinets.  The system can be driven by the DJ booth which features turntable, CD, cassette and AM/FM tuner sources or the system can be driven from the reel or cassette tape source devices in the main control room.   The main control room is immediately adjacent the managers office so the overall facility wide volume is under the control of the manager as opposed to the DJ.  This system has been operating continuously since 1989 without a single failure due in large part to the fact that the system features band pass filtering and peak limiting to automatically maintain system performance within the operating parameters of the equipment.
