Abney Chapel is a Seventh Day Adventist Church.   With a limited budget, typical of small congregations the folks at Abney Chapel wanted to install a system that would enable all to hear clearly.  Of course the pastor wanted a wireless microphone and they needed to have freedom from that annoying feedback.  This system shown features a high performance JBL SP215-9 speaker system flown from the center beam.   This speaker is powered by a JBL 6630 amplifier in the bridge mode.  The signal is routed thru a Shure DFR11EQ automatic feedback suppressor with 1/3 octave equalization and digital delay.  A DBX compressor limiter provides security from overdriving the system.  Two Yamaha SM112-Oak floor monitors are used with the same signal processing as the main speaker system.  Each monitor is on a seperate channel of a QSC USA900 amplifier.  The ancillary system that feeds the pastors office, vestibule, restrooms, kitchen and fellowship hall is driven by a single TOA A512A amplifier.  The system also features a Denon DN770RM professional dual cassette deck and a DN600F CD player.  The main podium microphone is a Shure MX418 of the supercardiod type.  Three MX200 hanging mics pickup the choir.  A Shure LX1484 wireless lapel system is used by the pastor.  A Crown GLM100 is used to mic the piano.  A pair of Shure Beta58's are used for soloist and pianist vocals.  The resultant system has been deemed more than satisfactory, in the pastors words the system is a real blessing!
A Yamaha MX200-24 mixing console is used.  The simplicity of operation made it easy for the four fellows on the sound crew to get the hang of it!
